Gadebridge Crouch End
London
12 July 1906.
Dear Sir,
I have been reading "My Life" with much interest.
It may interest you to hear (though it is a small matter), that your conjecture as to Mr Ward having written that letter in 'Nature' signed 'M', (p309) is a mistake; I was the writer.
I can't say I had any acquaintance at first hand with clairvoyance, but was disposed to think that it had some basis of fact.
With all good wishes | Yours faithfully. | Alex. B. MacDowall. [signature]
