Esteemed Sir,
You see by this, I am still held a prisoner, this seems to be a kind of mild Bastille, [?] [?] and weak tyranny, strict[?] triumphant; in my case it seems to be if you consider that your leg ailment & advanced age entitles you to be relieved from Bakehouse work (I've had nine years of it) you must go to bed and stay there; if it was not vexing, it would be amusing. Trust you are keeping well. I thank God I am as well as I wish to be.
With kindest respects, Sir, | Believe to be yours very Truly | Thos. Lake [signature]
P. S. Should feel grateful if some friend would send spiritualist[?] papers —
