Sir

As one of the Committee on "Rules of Nomenclature" I beg to be informed how many copies of these Rules have been printed,1 & what steps have been taken for their circulation among working naturalists.

As many persons of my acquaintance practically [2] interested in the question wish for copies of the Rules, I shall be much obliged by your sending me a portion of the copies you have still in hand [.]

I remain Sir | Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
