My dear Dr. Wallace.

I enclose you a copy of the letter received from my friend Mr. A. G. Hamilton, giving some particulars of Floras which may be helpful to you.

I sent Mr. Maiden at his request a copy of your letter to me. I also had some conversation with him on the subject and I believe he is now collecting some information for you. Having recently visisted Western Australia and collected a lot of information, personally and through the agency of others, I hope he will be able to give you some interesting particulars of that part of Australia.
