Dear Sir

I send you a paper on Mr. Reclus' proposed Great Globe2 — which interested me much, but which I think needs much modification. If you think it of sufficient interest I should like it printed in the "Journal", & you might read portions of it at a Meeting. I shall not be able to read it myself but it may give rise to an [2] interesting discussion.

Believe me | Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature] -

John Scott Keltie (1840 — 1927), Scottish geographer and involved in the Royal Geographic Society.
Élisée Reclus proposed building a "Great Globe" for the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. It was to be 26 m (85 ft) in diameter and feature a 1/500,000 scale globe, a planetarium, and a panorama of human evolution.
