Broadstone, Wimborne

Oct[obe]r 31st. 1904

J. Scott Keltie Esq.2

Dear Mr. Keltie

I wish to make a request to the Council for the Stone or plate (if it still exists) of the Map of the Rio Negro, published by the Society in 1853 with my paper on that river3. If they can let me have the use of it I will instruct my publisher, Mess. Chapman & Hall to send for it when required, which will probably not be till some time next year, as the book it is to illustrate is not yet finished.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

Note written in the top left hand corner of the letter in another hand.
