Dear Mrs. Purkis
I do not know whether any of my books besides the "Malay Archipelago" have been translated into French. I rather think "Island Life" has, but I am not sure.
I am still as much a spiritualist as ever, but I do not think my book on Spiritualism has been translated into French. I can however recommend to your friend an excellent & very [2] interesting book — "Choses de l’autre Monde" by Eugène Nus. Published at Paris, which will serve to show her that Spiritualism is a reality & that many eminent men believe in it.
With best wishes | Believe me | Yours faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace — [signature]
