1st, Whether the Paper be ORIGINAL?

2dly, Whether it should be accepted for publication by the Society?

3dly, Whether it can be altered or abridged with advantage; and IN WHAT MANNER?

4thly, Whether it is adapted for reading at one of the Evening Meetings?

English geographer, explorer, and writer Sir Clements Robert Markham, KCB, FRS (1830 — 1916). Markham was secretary of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) from 1863 to 1888, and later presided over the RGS for 12 years.
