Dear Lockyer —
Having written so far, I find it was Mrs. Lockyer1 who wrote to me, but as I have a word for you I will go on. Please just present my compliments to Mrs. L. & tell her that I shall accept her invitation with great pleasure. On Thursday [2] evening we are going to have a private séance at Mrs. Marshall's.2 Are you disposed to join? If so be at 7. Bristol Gardens, Maida Hill, at 7 o'clock. Bring Mrs. Lockyer too if she has any curiosity about Sperrits [sic].
I suppose your light hath departed from the "Reader"?3
