Dear Sir

I will send your MSS. to the Secretary of the Linnaean [sic] Socy. with my recommendation, & I have no doubt it will be received, read, & printed; — but not for some time as the session is now over till November.2 It cannot therefore come on for reading till about December & would be printed in about March in which case you would have 25 separate copies.

Could you not prepare a Map to illustrate it? In case you should not like to wait so long for its publication, I will not send it for a week or two as there is no hurry, & if you are likely to be in England again in the beginning of next year it would be better for you to read it yourself or be present as there would be sure to be a discussion.

Believe me | Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace —
