I have great pleasure in enclosing a few autographs for Mrs. Nevins,1 who I hope has now recovered [from] the fatigues of her bounteous hospitality.

I have instructed Messrs. Macmillan to send you a copy of my book of on "Natural Selection"2 which I trust may interest you a little & help to keep my memory [2] alive.

Hoping that yourself & family are quite well & that we may have the pleasure of meeting at Edinburgh if not before.
