Old Orchard,

Broadstone,

Dorset.

Mar[ch]. 4th, 1914.

Lt. Col. Sir David Prain, F. R. S. &c.

Dear Sir,

I now return the nine letters written by my father which you were kind enough to send me a few weeks ago.

I have made copies of them.

Will you be so kind as to send me a card to acknowledge their safe arrival?

Yours very truly | W. G. Wallace [signature]

In the top left corner of page one of the manuscript, the handwritten text reads "Ack[nowledge]d. 5. 3. 14". A circular stamp to the right of this text reads "Royal Gardens | Kew" in the outer circle, and "5 MAR[CH] 1914" in the inner circle.
