Broadstone, Wimborne

Sept[embe]r.. 18th. 1907

My dear Sir Joseph1

After a very long delay Williams & Norgate have sent me the part of the "Flora Brasiliensis"2 with the Biographies of Botanical collections, with the enclosed Invoice which I forward to you. It seems it was out of print and there is a small increase of price for the reprint.

[2] I see it contains little more than an exact list of localities collected at, the total "numbers" of the species, and very short biography of each collector.

When I have got what I can out of it I will send it on to you.

Believe me | Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

Joseph Dalton Hooker (1817 — 1911), British botanist and Explorer, Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Flora Brasiliensis, book published between 1840 and 1906 by many editors, including Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius, August Wilheim Eichler, Ignatz Urban, and others. Contains taxonomy of 22,767 species, mostly Brazilian angiosperms.
