Dear Mr. Hemsley1
Many thanks for sending me the copy of paper on "Rocky Mountain Flora", which I read with the greatest interest having spent a week away the alpine flora of Colorado, and one in the Sierra Nevada, two a years and half since.
I now send you proof of 1st. sheet of my chapter on "Coulors of plants", and shall be obliged for any corrections or suggestions. As I am here away from my books perhaps you will hardly make any [2] alterations or give any references in full. This part however is so elementary & popular that I am in hopes you won't find any important errors.
Please return proof here at your earliest convenience.
Faithfully yours | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
