Nutwood Cottage, Godalming
June 29th. 1881
Dear Dr. Murie1
I am pretty sure that I returned "Jones’ Botany of the Bermudas2" a few days or weeks after having it, as it contained very little that I required. It may have been overlooked if returned with other books. Will you please see if I returned any books after the 28th. of January 1881, as if so I am sure to have returned that with these. It was only a pamphlet.
Yours faithfully| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
Dr. James Murie
[2]cannot find the pamphlet. The last books returned were those returned same day as this was taken away Jan 28 1880.3
