Dear Mr Cockerell,
Pray accept the M[anu]S[cript]S address, if it is of any use to you. I cannot think of taking anything for it but your good wishes.
I sent the "Darwin letters" at once, because I came across them in a separate packet from the rest — & to save the trouble of a later search & unnecessary correspondence.
I feel sure they will be safe with you.
[2] I have just been routing out all my loose papers & "articles" of various kinds which have been accumulating the last 40 years & can now be found when wanted. I am arranging them in "[1 word illeg.] Universal Portfolios" — which are vey useful, neat, and cheap. His "book-boxes" have always been too dear for me.
Yours very truly | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
