April 16th 1875
Dear Newton,
Im "Murch"2 refers to several other papers of his I have not seen.
Will you oblige me by sending me any papers you know describing extinct mammals since 1870. I have Lerdy's synopsis up to that & his paper in 1873 — but this last only includes what was described by himself. Murch's papers will be all new to me.
Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
