5th October 1908
Honoured Sir,
For over thirty years yours has been a name which has been dear to me. The courage with which you have faced the world <when> holding out to the people the Great Spiritual realities has called up feelings of [illeg.].
I have had the satisfaction of looking on your face twice in Glasgow when you spoke and once in London but I have read all you have penned in books and magazines during that time with what understanding I have. Your life has truly been an inspiration to me.
I take the liberty of sending you a book, which is at all events not exaggerated in its statements of facts or feelings and I should feel honoured if you thought it was worthy of your perusal. I send it with this hope and subscribe myself
Yours admiringly
