Letter (WCP4215.4280)

[1]

Parkstone, Dorset.

Jan[uar]y 6th 1891

Dear Mr Cockerell

If you come here or to Bournemouth to stay a week I shall be most happy to see you as often as you like to call. If you will tell me what kind of accommodation you want, & at what price I will try & get a lodging for you, unless you like to stay at an Inn, in which case Sea View Hotel would be best, as it has a grand view and all the sun. It is however just as cold here now [2] as anywhere else.

My letter must have crossed yours so I will say no more now.

Yours very faithfully | Alfred R Wallace [signature]

T. D. A. Cockerell Esq.

The date is typed as Jan. 6th. 1890., but a '1' is handwritten over the year to make 1891.
There is no valediction or signature. There is a pencilled note: [A. R. Wallace] which looks like it was added later.
