Parkstone, Dorset

March 5th 1891

My dear Mr Cockerell

I sent you a Post-Card yesterday asking for the number of sp[ecies]. of Bornean birds.

I now find I want a few more facts. Will you be so good as to see by referring to the B[ritish]. Mus[eum]. Cat[atlogue]. of Birds, whether the genera I give at p.358 (Island Life) as peculiar to Java and India, but not found in Sumatra or Borneo, are also still so restricted. Perhaps too, the generic names are altered.

I think this is all I want for this Chapter.

Yours very truly | Alfred R Wallace [signature]
