Dear Dr. Gunther2

I am in a little doubt as to what you told me about the families & subfamilies in the Colubridae.3

I have united

Coronellidae

Colabridae = Colubridae

Natricidae4

but I am not sure if Dyadidae[?] belong to them too, or form a separate family,— or whether it is one of the others which sh[oul]d. form a separate family, I have not the B.[ritish] M.[useum] Catalogues now by me so shall be obliged if you [2] will tell me simply which of the above named groups go to form the Colubridae, & which, if any, stand alone.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
