Frith Hill, Godalming
May 29th 1886
Dear Mr. Poulton
Many thanks for the trouble you have taken. The sketch1 is "characteristic" as all that Westwood does is sure to be, but I fear can not be made into a good drawing for a lantern slide unless by the help of some allied species’ and an artist such as Westwood himself. I therefore mean to write to Wood-Mason & see if I can get a good drawing, — as I was under the impression was that which he [2] had sent to Oxford.
Many thanks for your offer of your papers. Any not published in the Trans[actions] of Ent[omological] & Linn[ean] Societies I sh[oul]d be glad of.
Believe me | Yours faithfully| Alfred R Wallace [signature]
