Parkstone, Dorset.
July 7th. 1890
My dear Mr. Poulton
I have been asked to write a review of your book for "Nature", & have there said what I have to say about it. I am much pleased with it on the whole. In Chap[ter]s 15 & 16 there are of course many things from which I dissent, but it would require a long article to discuss them all. I have touched on two points in my [2] review, as I almost felt bound to do, but I hope that on the whole you will be satisfied with what I have said about the book.
Believe me| Yours very faithfully| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
