Old Orchard,

Broadstone,

Dorset.

Novr. 12th. 1912

My dear Poulton

I really know nothing of Dr. Karl Jordan’s work except that he has described many Lepidoptera and published a Catalogue or Monograph of Papilionidae. But that is hardly sufficient for me to recommend him for the F.R.S.1

As for Miss Pascoe’s address, it was 1 Burlington Road, Paddington, but I think [2] she has sold that house & now lives near Reigate somewhere.

But I will send and get her address from her friend here — Miss Jaguet[?] — & enclose it in this letter.

I am — for me— very busy now with two small books on hand, one semi-philosophical — on Environment & Morality — promised this 2 years — & the other on the Labour [3] Problem. But I now have to work very slowly, & the war-news every day must be read —

Yours very truly| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

P.S. Miss Pascoe’s address is Horley, Surrey.
