Godalming,
Jany. 22nd. 1882
D[ea]r Mr. Meldola
I have to be in Town on Tuesday next (Jan[uary] 31st.) to a meeting of the Land Nat[ionalisation] Soc[iety] & having also several matters of business to look to I thought of coming up on Monday, if it will be convenient to you to give me a bed on Monday night, — or Tuesday night would do if more convenient to you.
Yours faithfully| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
