My dear Meldola
I am desired to ask if you will like to go with Mrs. Wallace and Violet to Mrs. Hayward’s on Tuesday Jan[uar]y 19th. as Mrs H[ayward] is going to have a crush with dancing & will be much pleased to have your company. If so will you come on Monday & stay till Wednesday morning.
If other engagements or arrangements prevent this can you come to us from [2] Saturday 16th. to Monday 18th.
Willie & Violet are both away visiting or I should have asked you earlier.
With kind regards to your mother[.]
Believe me| Yours very faithfully| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
