Parkstone, Dorset.

Jany. 25th. 1892

My dear Mrs. Meldola

Pray accept my sincere sympathy in the sad loss both you & Mr. Meldola have sustained. I have nothing but pleasant recollections of your mother’s great kindness and hospitality, while the late Mrs. Meldola while was among my old friends with whom I have spent many pleasant evenings.

Give my kindest remembrances [2] to Mr. Meldola with my best wishes for his speedy recovery. Both I and my wife have a slight attack but so far I am happy to say of a very mild nature.

Believe me| Yours very faithfully| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
