Stockton, Cal.
July 1st. 18871
My dear Mitten1
I enclose a letter for Annie1 which you can read and forward as I do not know where she is and you will then know my news to date. I hope soon to be in the Rockies. I am sorry you cannot come, but could hardly expect it.
After receipt of this do not send any more papers as they will probably not reach me. I will look out for your medicinal plants if I come across any of them. My health, except for the lip is good.
Love to all at home.
Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
