My dear Meldola1

In "Nature" vol. IV p.422, March 4/97 is an account, in a lecture by Sir H. T. Wood,2 at Society of Arts — of a wonderful process of true photography in colours, by a Mr. Bennetto3 of Newquay, Cornwall, apparently surpassing everything by other processes, — but the details were secret. Do you know anything of this process since, & is there any published account of it? Or do you know any one who makes a specialty of Colour photography, or any recent book. I want it for a new Ed. of my [2] "Wonderful Century",4 that I am getting materials for.

Hoping you are well & with kind remembrances to Mrs. Meldola,5
