My dear Mr. McLachlan
Will you be so good as to inform whether you know of any species or well-marked varieties of Neuroptera which are peculiar to the British Isles.
As there are undoubtedly peculiar birds & fishes I am endeavouring to ascertain what other animal forms may with fair probabilyity be considered as peculiar. If you know of any and will oblige me with their names I shall esteem it a favour.
Yours very truly| Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
