I forgot to ask another question in my letter yesterday. I want to heat water to about 150o Far[enheit] in a greenhouse by a Bunsen burner, and I want to know if a lead pipe passing through the water as shown & heated by a small bunsen below will stand well or will the lead be eaten away by the gases from the flame.

[Illustration of 1 inch lead pipe through a water tank and Bunsen burner is located to the right of the text].
