Many thanks for the seedling Alonsoas which are doing very well. My new greenhouse is getting stocked but the want of warmth is checking growth. Should you have any young plants of Primula obconica or any other primulas to spare, I should be glad of some, — but not for 3 or 4 weeks, as I am now full of Ex[aminatio]^n. papers [2] and must reduce my gardening work to a minimum.

I wish I had something to send you in return, but am afraid I have not at present. Almost all the plants you were so good as to bring me have survived and are growing.
