Monsr. A. Hamon1

Dear Sir

I have at length been able to find time to write a short article dealing with the questions you submitted to me regarding War and Militarism.2

To avoid creating prejudice I have made no reference to individual cases, but have treated the questions generally. Occurrences in all part of the World within the last decade will however occur to every reader in support of [2] my contentions.

I must apologise for writing in English, as, though I read I do not write French.

I shall be glad to know when the essay will be printed, as I should wish to have it appear about the same time in some English periodical.3

I hope you will be able to make arrangements for the publication of the various Essays you receive, in German as well as in French and Italian.

Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

P.S. I send the MSS. by Book Post, registered. A.R.W. [signature]
