Mr. A. R. Wallace of England he celebrated Naturalist is to lecture, under my care next fall & winter. I understand you would like to see him lecture in your city. Will you, please inform me about what time you want him[.] Of course I must make his engagements in groupes[sic] so are the same him[?] travel[.] He [1 word illeg.] to have his [2] Lowell course here in October. I think it will probably run until November some.

Mr Lowell1 will decide very soon. If you could indicate the dates you would like, I should be glad. All his engagements will be made by me & of course, all his dates will be kept at my [1 word illeg.].
