I must apologise for not having written earlier to thank you for the new Edition of the "Anitquity"1 It forms a very handsome volume & the number & importance of the additions & alterations are such as to convince every body [sic] that great care & much labour has been bestowed upon it.
I was very glad to hear from Miss Buckley2 that notwithstanding your great bereavement3you [2] were able to continue your literary work.
