Hanworth

6th Feb[ruary] 1906
D[ea]r Sir
As there will probably be a reprint or new Edition of Wallace’s life I think it will to[sic] tell you of an erroneous statement on page 3 of the 1st Volume which should be corrected. It concerns Hanworth church. The main body of the present church was built in 1815 [2] Mr Henry Perkins did not acquire Hanworth Park till 1827— he died in 1855 and was succeeded by his son Mr Algernon Perkins who (I think it was in 1844) repaired the church and added the apse at the East End. I was for some years churchwarden & have lived & owned property in the parish for 40 years.
Faithfully yours | Geo F Pollock [signature]
