Dear Sir,

In reply to your letter of Nov 16th, please inform the executors of your father’s will that there have been no sums due to your father since 1907. The 2 ½ per cent royalty of 4/10 paid him in 1907 was at the end of the edition of our Compendium (Australasia Vol II) which Dr Guillemard edited. £5. 14. 0. was paid to Dr Wallace in 1904, being the finish-up of the edition of Vol I. Dr Gregory edited the new edition (1907), which was an entirely new work, and your father’s own words in a letter of June 20. 1904 were "Of course if you decide to have a new book altogether, that is entirely beyond our original agreement".
