Broadstone, Wimborne

August 12th. 1906

C. William Beebe Esq[uire].

Dear Sir

Thanks for your letter & enclosure. I had read the extract you send me in a memoir of your book. I think in the "Daily News" & had been so much struck by it, that I cut it out and sent it to a young friend of mine who was then collecting in Trinidad. It is I think a new observation.

My conviction of the truth [2] of the protective colour form, & habit theory is, if possible, stronger than ever. Those who deny it are either ignorant or incapable of reasoning.

Yours very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
