Your kind favor of Nov. 20th asking for specimens of various kinds at hand. I will see what can be done for you.

Curiously enough, the orchids which are common in the sphagnum peat bogs in the north and east of us do not occur in the bogs of Iowa. However, I shall make an effort to get the material for you.
