I quite see your point of view and agree with you that our sense of beauty and its infinite gratifications in nature are very strong indications of design. At the same time "natural selection" is the very simple means, and the more wonderful because so simple , by which a very large portion of these have been produced. What is (in all probability) merely useful to the lower animals is beautiful to us.
