The Hamilton, Washington D. C.
Jan[uar]y. 16th. 1887.
Dear Mr. Edwards
I should much like to accept your kind invitation if I can make it in my way anywhere. But I am now waiting here till my agent can arrange dates of some lecture for me in Ohio & elsewhere.
I expected to have as much as I could do lecturing, but have now been more than a month idle. I saw young Denton at Boston who is doing some drawings & colouring for you.
I am greatly interested in the Prehistoric Archaeology on the Museums here.
Believe me | Yours very faithfully | Alfred R.Wallace — [signature]
