The Hamilton, Washington.
April 4th. 1887.
Dear Mr. Edwards
I propose reaching you Friday morning next, leaving this[?] on Thursday morning by the Shenandoah valley Route in order to see something of the Alleghanis [sic] by daylight, & coming on at night from Washington Junction. I go on to Cincinnati Sunday & Monday.
As it close on 40 years since we met and I may have somewhat altered in personal appearance I enclose a carte. A note by return to say that you are at home (or a telegram) will much oblige.
Believe me | Yours very truly | Alfred R.Wallace — [signature]
