My dear Sharpe[,]
I wrote you some 3 weeks back asking if you could let me have either an uncoloured proof of plate of Paradisornis Rudolphi1, or a photo or a photo of it somewhat reduced, —but have had no answer. Please send me a line, & if you have not a plate of it let me know who has figured it. If you have one will you be so good as to let a photographer copy it & send me a good proof [2] and I will pay him. Or if there is a good mounted male specimen in the Museum a photograph from that would answer my purpose as well.
With best wishes │ Believe me │ Your very truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
P. S. As it is for a book of my miscellaneous articles, of course Macmillan will get permission to use it from the publisher.
