March 18th. 1873

Dear Sharpe

The Museum shall have the American Hawks2 at the price you name £16 which I dare say is quite a fair one. I have packed them in two boxes & they will leave here by train tomorrow morning & ought to reach the Museum in the afternoon.

Let me have notice of their safe arrival.

Yours very faithfully | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]

Written at the top left of the page in ink in an unidentified, apparently contemporary, hand is "Wallace".
