Dear Sir

I had no knowledge of the birthplace of D^r. A. R. Wallace until I received your letter, since which I have made inquiries of D^r Albany Parker of Flaxley Road York who in about the year 1854 was in the employ of Mr D^r. S. Wallace whose surgery was in M^t. Mary Street Cardiff — He ^{Dr S Wallace} then a Bachelor and knew nothing of the D^r. A. R. Wallace — I have since made further inquiries and from a very old inhabitant of Usk, who remember [2] the one, very young that you enquire about living at Kensington Cottage, Llanbadoc, within half a mile of the town of Usk, on the road towards Llangilly and Newport.
