HIGH BANK,
ADDISCOMBE,
CROYDON
[1 word illeg.] Friday
Dear Mr. Wallace,
I am afraid you must think me rather a "rotter" but believe me my behavior is not caused through slackness. I am due at some people’s place in W.D. about five on Sunday and as I must [2] get some fresh country air on Sunday morning it will be difficult to get out much before that hour— however I should much like to look in for a few minutes if I may—only please dont bother to keep tea.
Yours in haste | E. Charles Williams [signature]
