I thank you for your kind offer of a S[outh]. American necklace as a gift to the British Museum.

In view of the early date of its collection, & its association with the 'classic' of R[ichard]. Spruce2 or Alfred R. Wallace up the Amazon, I think we should probably be pleased to accept it.

Could you kindly send it to me for inspection, before we decide about it?
