Dear Sir,
I beg to thank you for your letter of 4 July, and for your kind offer to present a collection of letters addressed to your father, the late Alfred Russel Wallace.
If you would be kind enough to send the letters here, I will have them examined and I have no doubt that I shall be glad to recommend the acceptance of some, if not all of them. I will write to you again after the letters have been examined. Would you be kind enough to address them to the Keeper of Manuscripts, British Museum?
With many thanks, | Yours truly | E. G. Millar [signature]
