Dear Mr. Wallace,
The Curator2 has asked me to thank you for the U[nited]. S[tates]. Geological Survey, Atlas3 which arrived this morning. It arrived in very good condition owing to your excellent packing, and we have never seen so much care taken over sending a book with its metal protection for the corners etc[etera].
Thanking you once more,
Yours truly, | R C Gurden [signature]
