I duly received your letter of the 17th ult[imo]., and regret not having replied before, but not being well and having to be away, as so caused the delay [sic].

As soon as I find when I shall be in town, I will let you know, so that you can come and see the pictures, but I may not be at home for some few weeks.

Wallace, William Greenell (1871-1951) Electrical engineer, second son and third child of ARW.

Gorringe, T. J. Hamilton (no dates found) Described as "an oil and colour man in London, a rather coarse looking disagreeable young man" by ARW in a letter to his son in 1899 (see Endnote 7). He and his wife inherited a house and effects, which included the Greenell family portraits, from "Miss Roberts", a cousin of ARW’s mother Mary-Ann Wallace and aunt Martha Wilson (both née Greenell).
